Ubisoft was once one of the most regarded names in gaming giving us franchises such Assassins Creed to Far Cry, Splinter Cell, Prince Of Persia.
The worlds Ubisoft created were some of the most memorable in gaming history but now? the worlds now feel tired and repetitive with more and more bloat and microtransactions being added.
In recent times we have seen layoffs, studio closures and games failing most recently XDefiant scheduled to be taken offline, adding to that the failure of Star Wars Outlaws and then there is the controversy surrounding Assassins Creed Shadows but I can’t really speak on that game as it’s not out yet and that wouldn’t be fair.
For me the failure of the Star Wars Outlaws was a failure too far for Ubisoft, the game released in such a state it was almost unplayable, the copy and paste climbing sections the whole world just felt tired and of course this is just my opinion you may feel differently.
Can Assassins Creed Shadows save Ubisoft or will Ubisoft be sold off or the IP’s be sold off only time will tell.
Let’s hear your thoughts-does Ubisoft still have a future or are they simply far to gone.
